Individual Therapy in Raleigh
and via telehealth across North Carolina
Individual therapy provides space to step back and gain a clearer view of your story, your patterns, and your next steps.
If the way you've been coping, managing, or pushing through isn't working anymore, this work offers a steady partner as you reorient toward something more aligned.
When the Old Way Isn’t Working Anymore
You may be competent, responsible, and capable in most areas of your life--and still find that something feels off. The strategies that once helped you survive or succeed may now leave you exhausted, disconnected, or stuck.

Whether you're unpacking long-standing attachment wounds, navigating relational strain, grieving a loss, or standing at a personal crossroads, there often comes a point when pushing through alone no longer works.

Therapy offers a place to pause, understand the map you've been using, and decide whether it's time to redraw it. And that's where I come in.
Who This Work Is For
Most of the adults I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have been managing on their own for a long time. They are often the steady one in their family, the responsible one at work, the one others lean on. At some point, though, the old way of coping stops working.

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. This work may be a good fit if you:
-
Feel stuck in recurring relational or emotional patterns.
-
Are navigating divorce, co-parenting, or major life transitions.
-
Are unpacking attachment wounds or childhood experiences.
-
Struggle with self-criticism, overfunctioning, or quiet withdrawal.
-
Want insight into your patterns and support translating that insight into change.
-
Are tired of carrying everything alone.

You don't need to have a perfectly articulated goal. Curiosity and a willingness to look inward are enough to begin. We'll map the rest together.
What This Work Looks Like
Individual therapy with me is reflective, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity.

You bring the questions, the tension, the crossroads. My role is to help you untangle what feels confusing and identify the threads beneath it. For some, that means unpacking childhood experiences that shaped attachment patterns. For others, it means navigating a present-day transition with greater clarity.

Often, that means slowing down long enough to notice patterns that have been running quietly in the background--self-criticism that sounds like fact, withdrawal that feels like protection, over-functioning that once kept everything steady.

We explore how those strategies developed, what they were protecting, and whether they still serve you now.

There isn't a rigid agenda for each session. Some days we process something immediate and present. Other days we zoom out and look at the broader narrative of your life. Through it all, I'm helping you gain a clearer perspective and experiment with different ways of responding. EMDR may be integrated into individual therapy when clinically appropriate.

The goal isn't to become someone entirely new. It's to relate to yourself--and others--with more intention, authenticity, and self-trust.

Most clients begin meeting weekly to build clarity and momentum. As confidence and stability increase, we can adjust frequency together.

If weekly therapy doesn't fit your schedule or you're looking for a more concentrated approach, I also offer individual intensives. You can learn more about intensive options here.

As a private-pay practice, I do not bill insurance directly. I can provide monthly superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Because plans vary widely, I encourage clients to contact their insurance provider to understand their specific benefits. You can learn more about using your out of network benefits on our Resources tab.
Take The Next Step

You don't have to decide everything today. Sometimes the first step is simply gaining a clearer view of what's happening--and what might be possible.
